Welcome to the the subject, Computer Applications and Networking for the second semester, School Year 2013 - 2014. This will be an exciting endeavor as you learn the basics and advanced areas in the field of computing. Please take note of the following grading system used by the subject:

Attendance = 10%

Quizzes (3 quizzes per grading period) = 15%

Laboratory exercises = 25%

Periodic examination = 50%

The final grade is computed as follows:

FINAL GRADE = 20% Prelim + 20% Midterm + 20% Pre-Final + 40% Tentative Final

The subject shall cover the following topics:

1. Introduction to Computers

2. Standard Business / Communication Letters using Microsoft Word

3. Basic Networking

4. Multimedia Editing (using PowerDirector)

5. PowerPoint

Your final project shall be the presentation of a group music video.
